Samsung Monte S5620 Touch Screen Smartphone
A little over a week since we have seen trailing the wild, the Samsung S5620 Monte has been officially launched. A touch screen 3 inch capacitive FeaturePhone, the Monte S5620 packs UMTS / HSDPA [900/2100, 3.6 Mbps] with quad-band GSM, WiFi, A-GPS and Bluetooth 2.1. Monte also has a 3.2 megapixel camera with smile-shot and face detection.

While the smartphone is not a Monte in fact, it is Samsung’s TouchWiz own platform 2.0 Plus Samsung after it has most of the functionality of one. They are particularly proud of the ability to navigate the handset, which helps complete HTML and both landscape and portrait modes, and social networking: Facebook and MySpace are there applications and widgets Twitter and Bebo and instant messaging client Multi-platform.
You also get Exchange ActiveSync, an FM radio with RDS and Google Maps 3.0. 200 MB of internal memory with a microSD slot [up to 16GB cards supported] and 1000 mAh battery is rated for up to 298 minutes talk 3G or 3G 454hrs standby.
No word on how the Monte Samsung will cost, or what it will be available in markets, but the company apparently plans to have at Mobile World Congress 2010 next week.[via slashgear]
