Samsung Electronics today announced an aggressive marketing initiative 3G “3GSamsung, 3G for all” in JuYong, Great Wall in China, which offers 30 models of 3G mobile phones.
2009 is the first year of launching 3G in China and China is the only country that has adopted three different standards used worldwide. As industry leader, Samsung Electronics has introduced the “3GSamsung, 3G for all” initiative that combines the insights and strategic investments in R & D with a well-planned location, reflecting Samsung Electronics’ leading position in 3G in China and worldwide.
Samsung Electronics has started TD-SCDMA research in 2000. As the global handset manufacturer, which was the first to identify this as a promising standard, Samsung Electronics has invested considerable resources to establish its Beijing Samsung Telecom R & D Center in China, with an R & D team which consists of hundreds of experts talented. This strategy helped Samsung to bring forward the industry in China.
Similarly, standards WCDMA and EVDO, Samsung Electronics has many years’ experience in both technology and marketing, establishing a leading position in China for phones based on these technologies. Samsung Electronics continues to introduce the world leader in products and launch more specialized handset models in the Chinese market.
