Cowon W2 Near Exclusive MID Running Windows 7
Cowon has quietly put up a teaser page first real entry into the MID [Mobile Internet Device] category, W2. It will occupy the higher end of the spectrum with a 1.33GHz Atom and Windows 7 but will be centered on the force with a relatively low key, brushed metal design with just a few buttons. Extra compact 4.8 inch, 1024×600 touch screen would serve as near exclusive interface.
Slate style hardware is known to have Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a USB port for expansion, although the internal storage, battery and other details are still unknown. When will this ship also uncertain: Cowon bills as disclosure W2 CES 2010, but the company is not believed to have a booth at the show floor.[via electronista]
