Casio Exilim EX G1 Shocks Protected Digital Camera
With the Exilim EX-G1,Casio entered in for a rough area with camera camera that can grow in places where most cameras will not survive. With the two layer body [steel + polycarbonate], the Exilim EX-G1 protected from shocks, dirt and moisture. How much protection are we talking about? According to Casio,the camera can survive falls from 7 feet [2.13m] and 3m deep waterfall for an hour.
Physically,the Exilim EX-G1 is a 19.9mm thick, and extend the non 3X optical zoom [38-114mm].On the back,there was a 2.5 LCD screen is protected by an acrylic plate. The impact zone [the zone where the camera is likely to fall on] is a ruggedized,and it is even possible to add a removable protector which is similar to that found in a rugged Casio GzOne phone one that started it all.
The Casio EX-G1 snapped 12 Megapixel photos and can capture YouTube friendly movies.This can be taken for a snorkeling session, that’s why Casio has added some post processing that should compensate for how the different lighting in the water [blue or green].It’s much less scary to use normal camera with a waterproof casing,we think.
